While Andy was on a missions trip to Turkey, we got to give Carman a little break and keep the girls for a few days. It was the first time for us to have both girls without their parents. We drove to NWA on a Monday to get them. It just thrills our heart now that Laine is old enough to understand things...she was soooo excited to go to DeDe and Papa's house.
After getting the girls, we had to make a little side trip to see Copeland since he just lives a few miles away. My first picture of the three of them together....and they did well in cooperating!

The girls did great on the trip to Galena. They both love Tiger, but he just isn't too interested in their attention.

Back home playing Candyland. We got so tickled at Laine...for several days, when we asked her where her Daddy was, she would respond, "Chicken" (instead of Turkey). Ha!! Finally she figured it out and knew he was in Turkey. Thankfully, Andy and his team had a great trip and all arrived home safely a few days later.
On Wednesday, Carman came to Kansas. That afternoon, we took them to the Cunningham Pool in Joplin

Also trying on some 4th of July dresses I had bought them. However, the one for Ellie was too big, so they were returned and Carman picked up the little skirts instead that were in the other posting.
Carman spent the night with us Wed. night and then took the girls home on Thursday. She texted this picture as they arrived home. I think the girls were a little tired! DeDe was too.....but loved every minute of having them here and am looking forward to another visit soon.
